Noticed this while signing the Guest Book at the DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun. Was Phil Collins in Tucson last week?
Finger pointing courtesy of my talented assistant, Lisa.
My dear friend Lisa flew down from Portland, OR for a visit last week. It began raining when she stepped out of the airport and stopped raining 3 days later when I returned her to the airport.
While not enjoyable for Lisa (since she deals with that kind of weather all the time) those of us who live here in southern Arizona were thrilled. Thank you for the wet weather and the good times!
Yikes! I know the Phoenix area is warmer than Tucson but those temperatures are scary – especially for this time of year.
Poor Wickenburg and Cave Creek!
Beautiful fall colors, a rare treat here in the Sonoran Desert. Which means we are stuck deep in the throes of winter (with temps dipping well below 70 during the day – brrrr!) for another two whole months. Sigh. We’ll suffer through somehow…
I don’t usually spend much time on this kind of thing but this video is quite well done; the dog is so expressive, the voices are good, and of course, it promotes pet adoption. Definitely worth a look…
This walked through my yard this morning. Only the second mule deer I’ve seen on the property in the 5+ years that I’ve lived here. I know it is a fuzzy shot but it was the best view of his head and rack. What a handsome animal!
I hope the rest of the year holds many more wonderful surprises for all of us!

Thanks to Alison and Charles for this special treat!
