April Wrap Up

The weather slowly warmed as the month went on. The days lengthened to just over 14 hours of daylight by the end. And better yet, the sunny days began to outnumber the cloudy ones! Perfect for long walks on the beach and other explorations…

Photos, left to right, top to bottom: Wild waves, Sand Shrimp, Salmon River Estuary, Salp, White-crowned Sparrow, Same Bird During Feather-fluffing Shake, Young Male Black-tailed Deer, Sitka Spruce.

Funny Friday

The Purist

I give you now Professor Twist,

A conscientious scientist.

And sent him off to distant jungles.

Camped on a tropic riverside,

One day he missed his loving bride.

She had, the guide informed him later,

Been eaten by an alligator.

Professor Twist could not but smile,

“You mean,” he said, “a crocodile.”
